Frequently Asked Questions

How is the tip amount calculated?

Tip amount = Bill Amount × Tip Percentage ÷ 100. For a 500,000 ₫ bill with 10% tip: 500,000 × 10 ÷ 100 = 50,000 ₫.

How is the per-person amount calculated?

Per person = (Bill Amount + Tip Amount) ÷ Number of People. The total bill including tip is divided equally among all people.

What is a standard tip percentage in Vietnam?

Tipping is not mandatory in Vietnam, but 5–10% is common at mid-range restaurants. High-end restaurants may include a service charge of 5–10% automatically.
